Short Term Rental Fire Inspections

After a tragic fire in 2015, the Board of Fire Commissioners enacted a Fire Ordinance that requires a fire and life safety inspection on all short term vacation rentals every 12 months. Please use the below forms to register your short term rental with the Fire District, request a short term rental fire and life safety inspection, or update information for your existing registration. Inspections are available in two hour timeframes Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm excluding holidays.
Use this form to submit your registration for a short-term rental property. Please fill out one form per property.
We are currently booking inspections for 6/19/25 and beyond.
Please note, inspection requests will only be fulfilled for short term rental properties already registered with the Fort Myers Beach Fire District. Inspections are typically booked 2-3 business days in advance and same day requests are unavailable at this time.
Use this form if you are updating an existing registration.
